📚心得【厭世機器人 #2：太空探索逃生手冊】｜《Murderbot #3: Rogue Protocol》&《Murderbot #4: Exit Strategy》 by Martha Wells, 2018

其實看完至今快一年了吧，正在看第5集時才發現自己當初怎麼沒留下3、4集的心得呢？😅 於是現在趕緊來補。老實說印象有點淡化了。

3、4集給我的印象是非常注重於「武打動作」，相對劇情則沒那麼精彩，主角光環、狗血動作劇情開好開滿，非常容易猜到劇情走向，讓我有些小失望。

《Murderbot 3: Rogue Protocol》中，Murderbot被派往一個偏遠星球，它偽裝成一個普通的機器人，但實際上它正在尋找證據，證明一家名為GrayCris灰軍情報的公司在這個星球上進行非法活動。Murderbot遇到了一些有趣的角色，包括服務與軍用機器人。

《Murderbot 4: Exit Strategy》中，Murderbot的主要任務是救援一名被RaviHyral公司綁架了的重要科學家，過程中發現這家公司背後的陰謀，同時也需要面對自己的過去，與自己半人半機械的身份。這集在動作上是目前看過最精彩的，主角大量利用了自身優勢扳回局面，但同時也讓我覺得主角光環開得有些過分。

讓我最印象深刻的，是與其他服務性仿生人、軍用機器人的互動：人性不足的主角無法理解服務性仿生人被像奴隸對待卻仍愛著人類的思考邏輯、也無法理解軍用機器人殺人如麻、毫無人性的冷血殘酷。也許中庸之道才是最好的？

It's been almost a year since I finished reading this one, and it wasn't until I was on episode 5 that I realized I hadn't left any thoughts on episodes 3 and 4. 😅 So here I go catching up. To be honest, my memory of the details has faded a bit.

Episodes 3 and 4 left me with a strong impression of how much they focused on "martial art action scenes", while the storyline itself wasn't as gripping. The protagonist's spotlight and overly dramatic action sequences with heavy plot armors were everywhere, making the whole thing predictable and leaving me slightly disappointed.

In 《Murderbot 3: Rogue Protocol》, Murderbot was sent to a remote planet where he disguised himself as a regular robot. His mission was to gather evidence against a company named GrayCris that was conducting illegal activities there. Along the way, he encountered some interesting characters, including service and military robots.

In 《Murderbot 4: Exit Strategy》, Murderbot's main task was to rescue an abducted scientist from RaviHyral Corporation. During the mission, he uncovered the company's dark secrets while also confronting his own past and his half-human, half-machine identity. This episode had by far the most thrilling action sequences, murderbot made full use of its advantages to turn the tables. However, it also made me feel that the lead character's plot armor was overdone.

What left the deepest impression on me were murderbot's interactions with other service and military robots: the protagonist, who lacked humanity itself, couldn't understand why service robots, treated like slaves yet still loving humans, would think or act that way. He also couldn't grasp why military robots could kill without hesitation, showing no humanity at all. Maybe finding a middle ground is the best approach?

IMO Rating: 68. Episode 4 was much better than the previous ones but still, the protagonist's spotlight was way too bright for an otherwise solid sequel.
